In Memoriam

 

The Heart of Illinois Skating Club fondly remembers Kathy Traver, who passed in summer 2021.  Her impact in Central Illinois skating was immense.  An avid ice dancer and instructor, Kathy was a longtime member of the skatingclub.  She taught hundreds of aspiring skaters at Owens Center.  Those of us who skated with Kathy or learned under her watchful eye will remember her talent, her patience, her smile, her friendship, and her generosity.  Because of Kathy’s lifelong commitment to local figure skating, the Heart of Illinois Skating Club inducts Kathy Traver into its Hall of Fame.
